a new musical comedy about climate change for ages 6+

Weird weather! Extraordinary extinctions! Freaky flooding! Water we going to do?! Jamie and her Nanna’s home has disappeared under rising sea levels – join them on an exhilarating adventure to rebuild their lives and stop climate change in its tracks.

TEACHERS’ PACK

We have developed an enrichment activity pack of games and exercises linked to the show, that supports elements of the science curriculum at Key Stage 2. It can be used in conjunction with performances of the show, or completely independently.

BACKGROUND

‘Puddle…’ is Ensonglopedia’s fifth full-length show.  

TARGET AUDIENCE

The show will be enjoyed by all ages from 5 to adult, and is suitable for a wide range of performance settings, including theatres, schools, science festivals and village halls.  For school audiences, the show is offered to classes in KS2 (ages 7-11).

THE SHOW

‘Puddle…’ is set in the near-future, and tells the story of two people who have had to leave their homes due to flooding caused by the climate emergency.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

The show is written and directed by Ensonglopedia’s Artistic Director, John Hinton

The parts are played by Helen Vine and Ruchika Jain

The assistant director and dramaturg is Laura Mugridge

The show is produced by Tamzin Aitken

The sustainability consultant is Carolina Ortega

Costumes and props are by Sarah Walpole. Set and puppets are by Caitlin Strongarm and Aqiong Zhang.

The show toured extensively around the UK between May and October 2023, at venues including Brighton Fringe, the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall, and schools, theatres and festivals up and down the country.
