Ensonglopedia presents…
LIGHT FANTASTIC!

a new musical comedy about the science of light

Our brand new show premiered in May and has a UK and international tour lined up for the rest of 2025

What is light? Why does it move so fast?
How does the eye work? Why is the sky blue?
What happens if you jump into a black hole?

Light Fantastic! is Ensonglopedia’s sixth full-length stage show, and features comedy, songs and onstage experiments to explain the science of light. See the trailer below.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The show is suitable for all ages from 7 to adult, and we particularly enjoyed by young people aged 11-14. It is suitable for a wide range of performance settings, including theatres, schools, science festivals and village halls.  The science content covers topics in the National Curriculum at Key Stage 3.

THE SHOW

Thirty years ago, childhood friends Rod and Iris played an ill-fated gig at their school science fair. Today their band is reuniting for a one-off anniversary extravaganza. Will their experiment go as planned, or will uncontrolled variables force them to abandon their hypothesis?
